Termination of Temporary Support Orders

IMDMA §501(d)(3) clarifies that temporary support orders terminate by operation of law when a final judgment is entered, so it is important to make sure that permanent support is included in any final order. Cf. In re Marriage of Eddy, 210 Ill.App.3d 450, 569 N.E.2d 174, 155 Ill.Dec. 174 (1st Dist. 1991), specifically incorporating a prior, temporary support order that had included numerous direct payments to third parties on behalf of the minor child.
